To compose is to assemble a whole from a collection of pieces. A successful composition gathers elements in a manner that shows clarity of purpose and considerable respect for the space those elements inhabit. These drawings are manifestations of care and consideration for the space between lines.
Just as a line may break space, so might the absence of one break the space of lines. The fact of this might frustrate on first contemplation. Of course, just as ideas jump synapses, one might begin to relish this experience; enjoy the opportunity promised by a fresh start in a new location, then cast off in novel directions.
